What causes fat to accumulate in certain areas of the body?

There are four basic body types. Some people store fat evenly throughout the body. Others, the majority of them being male, store a concentration of fat in the upper body. By converse, more women than men accumulate fat in the lower portion of the body, such as the hips, thighs and buttocks. Lastly, men again, are more likely to store fat in the middle of the body (belly). In addition to a predisposition based on gender, genetics play a major role in where an individual’s trouble spots are located.

Is undergoing SculpSure treatment painful?

Unlike other fat removal treatments, like Coolsculpting and liposuction, SculpSure does not damage any tissue other than fat, and there are no reported cases of post procedure nerve pain, numbness, itching, or excessive pain. There may be some swelling and bruising after treatment that typically lasts less than 24 hours and amazingly you can return right to work or even the gym immediately after treatment

Is fat removal permanent?

Yes. As adults you will never develop additional fat cells. When you gain or lose weight your existing fat cells expand or contract accordingly. Individuals who gain weight after undergoing fat removal procedures will either find that their excess fat is evenly distributed throughout their body or accumulated in a new spot.
